and...She's a 2 years old kid!

Alhamdulillah... that's all i can say. my baby girl is now 2 years old last 7th November 2013. i have so many things to say about her but so poor at arranging all the things i have inside my mind to write them in a beutiful writing to commemorate the mark of her second year of life.

my only wish is that she will continue to be healthy and happy, as always. i am so grateful to Allah S.W.T. for granting me a very healthy and active lil' girl. and that is all that matter to me right now. she's an end year baby so in terms of her milestone developement i can say more or less the same with the awal tahun kids...she's learning to speak, she's learning to do things on her own right now. her own identity is developing. loves to run, dance and sing although i can't really understand what song is she singging...just make my heart blooms. Alhamdulillah...

other than that, she's just a normal kid. quite shy with strangers, and would try to copy what the adults around her do...so that's makes me very coutious most of th time.

talk about a party this year, unfortunately we don't celebrate. but we had a small family dinner with a slice of ice cream cake for her (whice she didn't even finish) just for the 3 of us and it went well. we 're currently very busy with preparing to move into our own house soon,in 3 weeks time. so, Insha Allah, if ada rezeki, we definetely do a small party for her there at the new place. So sorry Maryam, mommy has no plan to do any party for you as mommy is quite busy with a lot of stuffs. i am sure u don't mind. ;) hehehe...

Maryam mommy lovesss you so much..it's beyond words. i am so proud of you now and forever. May Allah S.W.T protect you and guide you all the time baby. Amiin.

lots of sweet love,
Mom.

gonna be two soon...

budak bakal umur 2 tahun tak lama lagi.

yeah..how time flies...perkataan atau ayat cliche. :)my girl is gonna be 2 years old in november.

last year we had a celebration of her 1st birthday..but this year, we have made a decision not to have any party because a lot of things.

1) we are moving to our new/own house by this coming november or december, insayAllah. which i think orang yang biasa pindah randah ni faham how complicated it can be and soooo many things too look into. a lot of attentions to details is given to our future home this year. the renovation parts and so on.so, i don't think it is a good time to think of having a birthday party in between. boleh pengsan i...semua benda nak buat.

2) i think that this year it would be more meaningful to have a small celebration just us-the family and a cake.

3) i am busy. hahahha..tak sempat nak pikir...

so basically this year we are more focussed on the moving into our house rather than having a party. apart from that, i am also studying part timely, and i couldn't find a perfect time to squueze a party event into my schedule. so Maryam, when u grow up, and happen to read this blog, i hope u understand why mommy can't plan your party this year. heheheh... mom is too busy with other things. sorry baby.

ohh, talking about Maryam Bahyraa....she is a busy kid. as always...asal buka mata ada saja benda dia nak buat. huuu...letih... her latest obsession is BARNEY..we showed her a few other DVD, but it seems that Barney is her favourite of all. asal bangun tidoq mintak tengok barney. 24 hours barney sajalah rumah i. sampai i sendiri dh boleh hafal lagu2 barney. and yeah, she is also learning a thing or two with barney nowadays i guess. she is building a lot of vocabularies especially in english. i only speak english at work place. not really using at home. i rarely use engslih, i think my husband uses more english with Maryam than i do. dunno why...i guess i am just tired to speak english at home after a long day at work or at my MA class kot.hahahah boleh?? but, Alhamdulillah...Maryam picks up this language quite easily i must say. maybe because of the effect she gets from all the english tv shows an DVD she watches kot. but the downside of it, she "mix and match" her languge with BM too. skali imbas i pening dengar bahasa dia yang tak seberapa tu... sebab masih tak pandai bercakap lagi but we know she undertstands things in english.

she won't understand "kucing" but she understand "cat" she won't undestand "keluar" but understand "out" she won't undertand "satu" but "one' but she understand "lima" but not "five" hahahah...you know all the simple words...mostly she understand them in english version rather than BM. so it is kind of annoying sometime when i have to repeat my sentences using some english or BM words that she understands just to get her response. i think mak2 yang practice dwi-bahasa ni kat rumah mesti paham apa kebenda i bagitau ni. hahah..so, kallau nak pakai english, u better use englsih only. never mix the two languages or else u get a kid like that. hahaha...and if u want to use english...just make sure u are using the correct form. not the broken english..kalau tak kesian anak...

apa pun, she is at learning phase...learning to understand the world kan..and she just thinks that everything revolves around her only. she is matter the most than anyonelse besides her...hahaha..selfish gitu!

now, birthday plan yang ada?? i just ordered a BARNEY CAKE. tu ja laa..just to make her happy. i think she is the happiest when she watches barney and sees barney in books,in toys store,etc..so senang2 order saja la kek barney kat budak tu kan...and we plan to go for makan2 and follow by cake cutting after that and go home sleep. hahahah...

ohh, my baby is growing so fast...i miss her being a baby. ;)

when u are on your own- expect the unexpected.

ini dalam kelas statistics. busy key in the SPSS data hoi!

"world" can be a scary place when you have to face it ALONE. i admit that the day i went to register myself again as a student was a day full of mixed emotions. i kept questioning myself whether i could do this on my own. no friends this time around. no one could back me up.

but i kept a positive thinking and moved on despite the fact i was disappointed with a friend i considered a very good one whom decided not to proceed her with her studies at the very last minute without any reason but kept quiet. which was really strange of her to be that silent.

again, a world can be a scary place when you have to face it ALONE.

but Alhamdulillah, Allah has eased everything so far. He sent me 3 good friends. and i must say that to find friend who instantly clicked with u is not easy but lt's not in my case. hahaha...i have 3 crazy Masters buddies now. we are inseparable. it's like we have known each other a long time.

now, group assignments are done by us 4 in a group. and i learn a lot from these geniuses. Alhamdulillah. the best thing about the day i go to my classes are always full with lots of laughter. seriously when i think back, i have not been laughing so hard for quite sometime. rasa macam zaman blajar degree muda2 dulu..macam zaman remaja pulak. padahal dh mak2 dh pun. we are of the same age 29-30 yrs. so, i guess that makes us bond quite well kot.

i never expected i would always be looking forward for my classes excitedly every week like this. i think that the days i go to my classes are the days that i truly feel enjoy about what i am currently committed to. full of laugh. stress is always there but when u have great buddies, stress is something u can handle effectively.

ohh i love my master class. rugi sangat pada yang dapat tapi tolak macam tu saja without any solid reason. why apply in the first place if u are going to waste and harm other people's chances?? i wish i could display how interesting tha classes are to these people who rejected to come. pity u just wasted a real good place and other people's place who have been rejected by the uni. shame on u!

i hope these two people could bear with me and pray for my succes too. :)

Welcoming ceremony for the postgraduate candidates.

the line up of the deans

so my journey as a student has officially began as off yesterday. we had to attend the Welcoming Ceremony where we were introduced to the management of the University. i had a blast meeting my new classmates. hahaha...it's always nice meeting new people for me. i love the experience every time. but one major thing i noticed after yerterday's event, while we were listening to the briefing and speeches from the dean and the  USM Deputy Canselor, the experience sort of strenghten my will to continue this journey with an open heart. it makes me stop thinking of " whether i could or could not" commit. Alhamdulillah... i think i have not taken the wrong turn, Insya Allah. meeting people who have the same objective as yours makes you feel stronger and positive kot. i met a classmate who just delivered her first child last months and she is from Kuala Kangsar. she shared her feelings towards her decision to continue her studies despites having a baby and a job, just make me feel so blessed. i think this kind of woman is by far stronger than myself. so, i find peace thinking of it.

tengah bediri nak nyanyi.hehehe

so yesterday's event ended with a positive thoughts in mind. jumpa pulak kawan2 yang sekepala memang bonus kan. one thing is that when you are a postgraduate candidates your sense of team work is stronger kot. we feel that we are equal. have the same objective. the same commitments (work, family, etc) and have to attend  class in the evening. hehehe...so semua orang memahami situasi masing-masing. insyaAllah rasa tak laa sorang2..semua sedia membantu gitu. heheh...

the oath
when i saw all the deans walk into the hall, my god..i miss the robe and go up on the stage to grab  your scroll again. dulu i panggil robe tu baju harry potter... seeing these people wearing the robe, and when they were introduced as Professors or Associate Professors, huiii... meremang bulu roma. to all the friends who left university years ago, i only got 1 question to ask. "DON'T YOU MISS THE MOMENTS OF YOUR CONVOCATION DAY?" or the very least, "DON'T YOU MISS YOUR UNIVERSITY?"

So, next monday is going to be my first day of going back attending lecture and stuffs after almost 6 years of working, which i really look forward to.May Allah S.W.T guide my path all the way to the end. Amin.

etc2

Im gonna start my master class real soon. Like any concern mom i would always have a concern on my daughter's well being. Im afraid i won't really have quality time for her. That is the main concern i have basically. Cos i am very protective mom and veryy sensitive as well. I am afraid she would not be as close as now to me. Ohh i can't bear to see her being soo manja with anyone else more than with me. Seriously... But, i guess i need to be calm and let it go lah kan.. She's a big girl now...kalau umur 1 tahun lebeh macam Maryam ni mak2 lain dah bagi adik tapi i? Hahahaha....

Back to my main objective of coming back to penang after almost 6 years of living my life in Perlis, which is to achieve my gold. To improve myself by going back to uni and study. - so CHECKED!

I waited 6 years for this and now it has meterialised. So syukur Alhamdulillah. I am actually quite excited too. meeting new friends at class is the best. i mean i love meeting new people and exchange ideas and stuffs. and one thing about going back to study i guess because i miss studying after all these while. working has been very tiring, especially mentally. i need something to fresh my rusty brain. LOL! serious dah karat...

heeee...

so last week, i went for a registration day for the postgraduate students. it was okay, met lots of new people with the same intension, love it! over the time, i do questions myself whether i can juggle my resposnibilities well or otherwise. but Alhamdulillah, i have a very postive and supportive husband. he is the one who would always make me think straight again. get my goals done. because this is why we come back to settle down here. heheh.. InsyaAllh, i think i can do it. it's not like i have to go to class every night. paling banyak pun 2 kali saja. so hopefully i can manage la kan.

one more thing that keeps my moral high is when i find that majority of my classmetes tinggal jauh dr USM, i met one from KL, from Ipoh, from Taiping and even from Perlis. these people are going to travel twice a week to penang and go back to their respective homes at night after the calsess finish. and they are WOMEN! seriously, kalau itu tak cukup menginsafkan i, tak tau la apa lg kan... tengok semangat orang, kita ambik la semangat tu sama...bukan being all negatives and full of excuses.. if there is a will, surely there be a way kan...tu ja la i percaya. hopefully, segalanya berjalan dengan baik.

i remeber one thing that a friend told me, "it might not be easy, but it will be worth it"

registration day! beratur laa dengan tabah berjam2 lamanya. susah2 dulu kan..

less wordy wednesday.

opportunity knocks, but only once in a while... don't let it pass us by~
