i know i haven't been updating much about my wedding...truthfully, i was lazy & i didn't really know where to start,plus i was damn busy with work straight away after i got married. i never really had a long break for my wedding. just a few days off.

i guess since my wedding album has finally done, so maybe i should share a few pages from my album. so here they goes...(randomly picked ja ni ok,main upload ja)






























i had the best moments in life during the photo shoot sessions. i had a great respect to my OP nasir zin & his team. they made us feel very comfortable n it was joy and full of laugh all the way. tell u, these people are crazy! kelakar tak hingat. ohh, of course amat2 memenatkan and i remeber my legs were soar up to a point couldn't bare to stand anymore...penant gila..still they would keep shooting and shooting, trying to find best angles..tegolek2 atas lantai hotel, panjat merata alam..BEST SANGAT! semua kepenatan seemed all worthwhile. tak tau nak explain cemana dah..these guys are the best..

and for me, the only memory we have after the wedding is the Album, so it's better for us to invest a little bit on professional photographers. they'll make us look great despite all the circumstanses..contohnya, suami anda tidak reti posing... heheh

it was a beautiful day...Alhamdulillah..

no wait! when i see this last picture, i remember i didn't even touch the ice cream, the cake, the chicken, the cream puff and the fruits!! so who ate all of that??? guess what...MY PHOTOGS! hahaha... betul la jadi pengantin memang tak sempat makan semua tu...hukkk

at this stage, i think i'm a bit tired of anwering the question - "WHERE ARE THE OFFICIAL PICTURES?"

Norr & Rizal's Wedding - quick updates

Hmm, the slow update will start now… I have no idea where to begin actually. Maybe I should just share some of my new experiences of being a wife so far. Well, it’s only been 2 weeks since we got married. shocking to me cos it’s a new thing. Having a companion ( yang tak sabar2 nak move into the house right after nikah) a few funny incidents happened where I freaked out ( as always) when he finally in the house. I siap Tanya ada surat nikah tak? Takot kena tangkap khalwat. And I would sit very very far from him which was a bit irony. Masa bercinta boleh ja dok dekat2 tapi dah sah tetiba I dok jauh2. Haha..

The reception took place last week on the 10th October, 2010 at the Dewan Expo, Seb arang Jaya, Penang. From 12-4pm. And it was the best moments of my life by far. Seriously if I could turn back the time, I would want to go back to the day I got married! It was smooth flowing event (TQ to everybody who made it happed) and I was expecting some sort of glitches, but NO..everything was perfect. Alhamdulillah.

Both myself n husband got ready at the Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya where we had our photoshoots done as well.seriously, I felt like a celebrity. Heheh. And the Hotel was so kind to provide us great service and we had our breakfast just the two of us later the next day ;) ohh our OP nasirzin.com with his team were the best! Seronok bekerja dengan professionals like them. And there were so kelakar all the way. Rasa macam kawan2 lama. And I was really impressed with their style of finding great angles. Tergolek2! Best! ;)

Since I posted the previous entry, I have received a few request from interested people to know more about my simple wedding dress. Takpa2 I will update about that later k. I don’t have many pictures in my collections right now since I relied on my OP to capture everything. I even have to wait for somebody to post the pictures on FB to see everything.


Ok hari ni Berjaya tengok rupa pelamin i. seriously I forgot cemana rupa pelamin I sebab I tak sempat nak teliti during my reception. I missed a lot of stuffs. That’s whay I can’t wait for the pictures from the OP.

syukur my Guest book is filled with a lot of comforting words, warmth & love by many guests who took the time to write. ni guest book area yang i terpaksa scratch all the ideas i have gathered and gave this area to my niece to do the deco. she's 18 so i can't expect much. i told her to do whatever u can to make the area stands out. hasilnya? hahah...ok la..not bad! and she was so patient waiting there with her friends.they did a great job by attracting the crowd to the guest book table! good job along!


i love my guest book so much, i sleep with it! sumpah! i read this book every nite and i would cry everytime i read it...sayu ok! ramai tulis bagi i sedey!

that's us, waiting for the signal to enter the hall...malu sangat2 tengok ramai orang. and the funniest part when we finally enter the hall, i jalan cepat2 sampai my sis jerit, wey, pelan2 sikit jalan! hahahah...

we didn't have any pengapit or any rombongan mengiringi. we planned it that way. purposely nak jalan berdua sahaja! cos we wanted all eyes on us. when all were staring at us, malu la pulak..ambikk!

hmm. family is LOVE. and LOVE is family!

NORR & RIZAL - THE RECEPTION

SALAM,

i'm back in the office resuming the unfinished business i guess. many of the collegues were surprised to see me in the meeting early this morning... ehehe... told ya' i was away for a quick wedding reception and back in the office in a blink of the eyes...ehehe..

well, i guess the most waited moment of my life has finally ended - the wedding! ;) syukur Alhamdulillah... words could never express all these feelings i have inside.. I AM ONE HAPPY BRIDE - ok fine, ex- BRIDE. heeee~

the big day was actually on the 2nd October 2010. and the second big day was a few days ago, on the 10th. October 2010. and all i could say here, both days turned out great! i have no complaints or what-so-ever. Alhamdulillah, i had a perfect wedding. ;) i am so happy.

i have no idea how should i start updating the details of my wedding. but do enjoy a few pics i managed to snap on my own... i had 3 photogs during the reception and they did take a whole lot of pictures throughout the day. almost 5000 pieces and maybe more if i'm not mistaken. so i have to be very patient waiting for the official pictures. ;) but, many have seen some of the pics on fb. hey, more to come! meanwhile, these are taken from my own digital cam. boleh ekk!

I'M A MARRIED WOMAN!

ALHAMDULILLAH...syukur. ;) the only words i could say. i'm so thankful, relief and very very happy bride!

Dengan sekali lafaz, kini sah menjadi seorang isteri. ;) but i thing for sure, it felt like a weight has ben lifted off the shoulder. i'm thankful for everything that is going my way right now...

i still need time to digest everything and currently is focussing on the reception which is happening this weekend. i will start updating as soon as i'm back, insyaAllah..but as for now, do enjoy a few pics taken from my own camera. as always, the official photo will be released soon. hehhh..

invitation to my wedding

i feel bad if don't post any invites through this blog. i dun know whether i have regular reader here since i'm not an active blogger. (so i rasa tak confident nak invite, takot syok sendiri kat sini. eheheh) still, i personally feel that it's most appropriate to invite everyone who is somewhere close to Penang and any nothern part to come to my very humble wedding, soon! i'm having a small reception on this coming 10th.October.2010

1 minggu 5 hari lagi

hey everyone! hope that the raya was great for everybody. =) as for myself, it was short.i was preoccupied with everything related with the wedding. i hope i could share all those things that i managed to settled during the raya break.bad news, i left my camera at home. since i only have a few more days left before becoming a mrs. i guess, the the feelings of having butterfly in the stomach has finally and clearly emerged.... i never understood it when some people said they were nervous of entering the new phase of adulthood,which is, marriage. but i guess, i do fully understand that feelings already. i am nervous. i can't describe it. but i guess this is normal, kan?

i arrived safely in perlis yesterday. the first thing i did was cleaning up the house. and the two cupboards in the house. 1 in the master bed room, another in the 2nd room. i took out all my work outfits in the masterbed room and put them in the other room. my intention is to leave some space for the future husband's clothes... =) at first i was thinking, to let him use the cuppboard in the 2nd room. but, suddenly i felt like i was being selfish. isn't a marriage is all about sharing and making sacrifices?? hahaha...

anyways, i guess that was the first step of entering a new life, huh? making a space for him..err, lagipun i decided to have 90% of my clothes in the other room sebab tetiba i terfikir something...

"ish, nanti nak salin2 baju, etc, dia tengok mesti i malu. baik amik bilik 1 lagi. PRIVACY"

see how ridicoulous i can be?? i told the story to a friend this morning and she laughed so hard it offended me a little..but, i think i ni mmg weirdo kot?? kahwin pun nak malu2 lagi ka? heheheh...

hmm, i wish i could share about all my activities and the preparations when i was away, but i guess, all of the stuffs will be shared after the wedding, insyaAllah...camera takdak, gambaq takdak, tak syok cita. ;p

as for the wedding cards, well, i was so careless i didn't know that the price for the stem were incresed to 60 cent. i was so stupid to post the cards 2 weeks ago using 30 cent stems. it turned out that, many who recived the card need to pay the post men the balance, adoi...malunya!! i'm soooo sorry ya kawan2 yang terlibat tu..maaf zahir dan batin...ehehhe...BUT my concern is that many have not recieved the invitation card yet! now, kelam kelibut follow up tanya dh dapat card belom...aduhhh...


okay, i will try to update again...but i'm a bit busy with work. hahh, i have not even applied for my leave just yet...

OUR BAJU NIKAH & MY KASUT NIKAH

i'm heading back to home sweet home penang tomorrow afternoon. before i go i think i should update a lilttle more about my baju nikah. we went for the fitting last saturday and syukur Alhamdulillah i am very pleased with the result. i'm very sure sure that many of us are so damn nervous when it comes to our nikah dress & the reception dress kan! seriously, after a very sad day when i first saw my reception dress, i was literally traumatic to see what happened to my baju nikah pulak. i spent a fortune on the lace. it cost me almost 2k for the whole thing, so if the baju didn't turn out well, i would cry again! but at home..ehehe



on our way to meet raymond, inside my heart i was praying real hard hoping that the baju at least looked okay if not perfect. but Alhamdulilah...i think i'm satisfied with the result. the baju will be 100% ready insyaAllah after raya. i plan to pick it up on the 15th. the neck line as well as the back button are not ready yet. but overall the dress met my expectation



this is not a kebaya...kurung modern. =) it needs a little alteration actually to reduce the size...size? does this mean i lost some weight??? err... no, i'm still chubby & cute huhu . but the side tu actually kembang when i stoodd straight , so we decided to kuncupkan dia.

that's us trying out the outfits! again i blur everything. awal lagi nak reaveal semua kan! but i think people can get the idea pretty much how my dress looks like...just a simple kurung modern. ;)

so, dah tengok baju later after that we went to gurney thunting for my nikah shoe. there was some drama involved between me and fiance. adengan merajuk but no pujuk2. it was late and i still didn't find the shoe. everything i saw i hated. and the buka puasa time was fast aproaching. so i think i had a panic attack i bought a pair of shoe at some store and i was not happy. so i lashed out at him sebab insisted to watch movie awal2 sampai and wasted my time. masa order makan baru berdamai. ehehe..ya, kami gaduh manja2 saja selama 1 jam. ehehe~


but later we headed to Queensbay after berbuka. and thank god i found another shoe. we went to Elle boutique and this time i found what i liked and the best part it was 30% discount. rezeki. me and Elle label are like best buddies. i realised i have been a collector of many Elle stuffs the last time i checked. maybe because the price are affordable for orang bawahan like me. hehe.. i thought of trying different brand for the wedding but i bounced back to Elle peep toe. it was actually a very simple shoe. no beads no stones and i could recycle afterwards. boleh pakai pi office and jalan2. so i took the shoe. weeeeee~ peep toe for nikah!! RECEPTION SHOE?? still hunting...still hunting...hmm..


i think that's all for the time being. i would like to take this opportunity to wish all Muslims, a very happy Eid. wow...time flies huh? we're saying good bye to ramadhan already...i'll be on hari raya break for the whole of next week and coming back to work for another week. i'm getting married on the following week! phew~

Cheque!!

we have decided to stick to cheque for my Mas Kahwin as well as my Wang hantaran for safety purpose. i have heard so many stories where the cash went missing during the event cos obviously our hantarans are up for display kan during the big day and it's almost impossible to guard them during the day. takkan la nak suruh orang tolong tengokkan hantaran2 kita sepanjang hari. penat la orang tu.

so, my sister came up with the suggestion of using cheque instead. selamat sikit, insyaAllah. ;) well, the groom will have to do another checque for Mas Kahwin. yang dalam gambaq ni mock cheque of my Wang hantaran given by the groom side the other day. my sis did the mock up for me before she tranfered the real checque to my account. she said maybe i would want to keep it for memory.haha...we recieved 2 cheques from the groom's side. ehh, bukan sebab banyak sangat tau jumalah wang hantaran i. 1 cheque is my hantaran and the 2nd cheque is actually groom's intention to combine the reception. remember, i'm having a combine reception kan. so yang tu memang groom's family bagi for us to manage. ( jumlah wang hantaran i biasa2 sahaja tau)


talking about cheque ni, i was told by my family that in penang, if u plan to use cheque for your Mas Kahwin, u'll have to clarify with the kadi first. it's basically because, some kadies do not accept this as a form of cash money. takot2 nanti dalam lafaz nikah tu groom terpaksa sebut "aku terimah nikahnya.....rm70 HUTANG!" that's what i was told. as for myself, my brother has clarified with the kadi and the kadi said it's OK ;)


for us, we feel that it's more convinient to use cheque instead of the cash. we're only taken the safety measures to avoid unnecessary incidents. i'm sure my family is going to be a bit busy entertaining the guests and the hantaran most probably will be out infront of the small pelamin. furthermore, we're having marhaban group and also a doa selamat kenduri later after the solemnization. so, i can imagine we will have a lot of people coming in and going out that day.

okay updates minggu ini? well, lawatan mengejut kepada tailor baju nikah telah dilakukan..hehe..macam garang ja i ni..i was happy this time around to see my nikah oufit which currently 90% done. and being a blurr me, i didn't know the baju on the maniquine was actually my baju. i asked, "baju sapa ni" and my tailor kata " baju u lah!" heheh...cemana la i boleh lupa rupa kain i seniri? but overall, i am pleased to see it. Alhamdulillah la...i feel like a bride already.

masa tengok my baju sanding, i was a bit depressed but this time around, dah ok. i can't wait to wear it! i hope my body won't balloon after raya ni...for me to lose a lot of weight is such a struggle.i have done everything but nothing really works. so i decided to just watch my weigh ja la..jangan naik lagi dah. gemuk pun gemuk la...pasrah.hehh!

Last Weekend yang Sungguh Produktif

of course produktif sebab i think we spent the day hunting for a few stuffs yang asyik dalam pending list ja. we headed to Sg. Petani as i requested to go to DIOS and Bringht Sail. i read about these shops brances in majalah Pengantin. siap bawak majalah lagi semata-mata nak tengok alamat. tu pun sesat skit cos the two of us memang tak tahu apa2 kawasan tu. tak familiar sangat. and the funny part was that fiance called the shop to asked for the direction.

when we finally arrived, the most lawak part was the sales assistants at Bright Sail thought we were bridal boutique owners coming to buy some wedding items. hahaha...kami ni layan ja akak tu...ya la i think jarang kot bakal pengantin masuk kedai2 yang jual perkakasan/peralatan perkahwinan kan? usually we would rent these items. yang lawak jugak akak tu siap kata, "tiang pelamin fesyen terbaru ada dik, tak mau tengok ka??" i was like...
" erkk...kak kami bukan nak beli barang untuk butik. kami nak cari barang kawen kami" hehe

we decided to buy a few stuffs kat Bright Sail sebab situ ada offer. for those yang tak tau apa tu Bright Sail, dia macam DIOS jugak, but i think it's way cheaper. boleh tengok kat majalh pengantin. selalu kat page depan sekali ada ads dia.

i wanted to buy alas dulang, rantai tingkat, butang baju melayu, and a few things lagi. but these are 3 main items yang berjaya di bawa pulang.


item 1: rantai tingkat. ;) i bought this because i think my kain nikah is very simple. no heavy beads so i thought, this rantai tingkat would enhance the look. hopefully. i bought it at RM60 after discounts. the actual price was RM250. i asked the SA why mahal gila? she said sebab it's silver plaited or something. but RM60 was actually my budget. tak tau la kot benda ni actually murah lagi ka. but it's not bad think and it has intricate designs. boleh la kot..

item no. 2 : ha apa ni? bukan veil..hehe.. these are my alas dulang. beaded net. i love it cos i have been looking for this for quite sometimes. it's simple. the reason i decided to buy the alas because if i were to rent pun. it would cost me the same price. i mean, kalau rent kat butik yang i tanya dulu2 they said rm15 sekeping with dulang. so i beli ja la..cos harga pun RM15 jugak for 1 piece. hehe...pastu boleh simpan buat deco apa2 kat umah kot. but at Bright Sail, if buy this a lot, they'll give u discounts. hmm..worth buying la jugak rasanya... =)





what else? hmm..


item no. 3 : butang baju melayu. fiance had chosen this on his own. i think when i look back, i kinda like it. it looks like diamonds. ni if i'm not mistaken RM30 saja...boleh la kan. ;)






beside these items, we manage to buy his sampin too...but i didn't snap the pic. we went to Jakel SP just to look around but nothing interersted us except the sampin ja. then we headed to Ariani to look for my tudung nikah. but too bad. they only showed me 2 designs. and those 2 designs memang bridal tudung. but the price was beyond my budget RM450! hukhukhuk...no way...for a very simple tudung, i'm not willing to pay for that much price just yet unless i found myself desperately in need. at this point, i'm still keeping my options open. masih mencari but so risau where else to find my tudung nikah?? ;( i want to wear tudung with awning but for my tembab face, i have to find the most suitable awning..if not, i would end up looking ridiculous. kat Ariani tu okay dah but the price yang tak okay... ;(

then, we headed to Penang cos i wanted to attend my BFF convocation at USM. but before that we stopped at....

yeah..my favorite favorite place everytime i go back to home sweet home..asal balik penang ja singgah SSF. mak mak kata tak abeh2 pi tempat tu...bukan apa i just love being inside SSF. tak beli pun tak pa. just enjoy the decorations. it was first time trip to SSF for fiance. and he said he loved the place since my fiance ni suka home deco stuffs. he said he could sleep in there. hahah...tengok, dulu dia kata i obsessed dgn SSF. look who's obssessed now uhh?

anyways, this time around SSF buat sales siap ada Happy Hour masa i pi. so i bought this bling2 decoration/jurai2 to decorate my pelamin nikah area. murah ja. 1 piece RM6. actual price RM11++ kot. so apa lagi..Happy Hour kan... happily bought 8 pieces of this thing.hehhhh ;p

hmm. tu ja yang berjaya menjadi tawanan..but i have a lot more to do but so little time left. at this point, i tak mau serabut2 kepala. at least i have all the essential stuffs. they are good enough for me. kalau tak sempat nak beli benda2 yang remeh temeh,etc... i think i'm okay ja. yang penting dapat kawen ja..heheheh...

i'm gonna go back to penang this afternoon to spend my weekend with my mak. nak bawak dia jelajah pasar ramadhan and eat home cook meal...seriously, makan sorang2 is not fun..sedey hari2 makan depan TV. layan cita GENG SURAU kat Astro...gelak sorang2..so pathetic...but the story is very comical..heheh

some updates of my upcoming BIG day

i'm just having a very small and intimate wedding, so i don't really have a proper wedding checklist to follow. all i could say is that i jotted down eveything i should do everywhere...so unorganised kan? ;p

so today i looked up the so-called checked list and evaluated what have i completed so far.

RING
Alhamdulillah, it's done and safely with fiance now. it took us quite a while to get it engraved, cos the SA forgot to send for resizing & engravement. i would say the best thing i have ever had so far. can't wait to get that bling on my fingger!

OUTFIT & ACCESSORIES
solemnization: the baju will be reading for fitting next month. nervous! as always. last weekend, fiance and i managed to go to Sungai Petani to do some accessories hunting there. and it was a successful trip as we managed to buy the things that we wanted. i don't rent the accessories because i find that the price of renting is jus the same with the price of buying them. so i decided to buy instead. at least i could keep them later or recyle.

reception outfits: Done!! but fiance has no time to do the fitting for his outfit just yet. busy memanjang. we're going to do the second fitting maybe next month too.

MAKE UP
Done!! both for solemnization and reception. just hope that the make up will make me look alrite..cos i had a very traumatic experience with my engagement make up last time. i looked like a clown. i don't wear make up on regular basis. so it's very important for me to not look like someone else when i have been made up.

WEDDING CARD
Done! but we have no time to take them from our vendor in Alor Star. fiance, as always BUSY ;( he promised to take the cards this week.


PHOTOGRAPHER & VIDEOGRAPHER
DONE! we hired nasirzin since he offered us the best price for 2 events. we're gonna have 2 photographers covered the events. as for videographer, i could only afford to hire for the nikah event ja cos i don't want to missed the moment during the akad. that is the most important thing to me. other moments, i may have to rely to my photogs to capture them.

CATERING
both for solemnization and reception have been booked but from 2 different vendors and need to discuss the menus.

CANOPY
this is just for solemnization day saja. we booked arabian canopy completed with scallop and maintable decoration. but i don't have any expectation for the table to look exclusive or something. since i hired someone who is new in the business. at first i had no plan to do maintable and stuffs. but my sister convinced me to let the canopy people do the table as well. who knows i might have no time to do everything on the day before my nikah. takot tak menang tangan nak DIY semua. and honestly i'm just hopeless when it comes to creativity. so we decided to just let the canopy people do whatever they can. pasrah ja

CENTERPIECE
the candle holders are good enough for me. so i just need to buy the candle to get the dramatic effect kot? hahah...

HANTARAN
the items for the hantaran are settled but the decorations? we have finallized the designs and we decided to DIY to reduce the burden. heheh.

BUNTING & POSTER
we have not ordered any buntings so far..we'll see how it goes first. but we have ordered a big poster last weeked at SP. we sat together with the person and desinged it together. just have to send it for frame. i think we may need a custom made frame since the size is big. i told fiance please frame it with the most simple frame and the cheapest frame that available. heheh...


ENTERTAINMENT
unexpectedly, we have kompang group. heheh..taktau kenapa suddenly boleh ada dalam list minggu ni. safely booked and paid the deposit. ;) i'm not fond of the idea having a DJ during my wedding, so i'm just gonna play the CD ja...a compilation of favorite songs. i have asked a favour from my best friend Anna to help me with this part. i just hope the laptop tak kena reformat again and lose the songs. heheh.

okay, i think that's all as far i'm concerned. actually ada banyak lagi the sub2, and small small things that need my attention. like the hand bouquet, henna, spa, etc semua ni kena fikir2 lagi...

those who keep complaining about the how u wish to be somewhere near to KL so it'd be more convinient to prepare your wedding cos obviously around there, banyak wedding planners yang best2 kan? well, after a few surveys, i think i could safely reccommend 1 wedding planner in penang who is also talented and the products that they deliver are not that bad...as compared to other bridals boutiques around penang ni yang i think are outdated and so frustrating everytime we enter their boutiques...penah rasa frust tak?? ka i sorang ja yang selalu frust ni?hehe..

Hassan Wedding is the person you should give a try if you are planning a wedding. it is not like any typical bridal boutique around penang in my opinion, cos this person could provide you first hand wedding dress, some really beautiful decorations and also the up to date trends in wedding like what brides in KL areas and such are having now.i came accross this planner after reading the ads in magazine. trust me i was a bit frustrated i did't know him at the early stage of my wedding preps.

a very nice blogger nuwon once told me about him as she was so satisfied with his work.so i checked him out and fell in love with his work. i mean at least he provided us with something different than what we have seen in penang all this while.

one of my dearest friend amy, who is currently planning her wedding talked to me how she also hated going in and out of the wedding boutiques in penang...and i suggested going to hassan wedding. and she said the meeting was successful and very happy. so good luck babe for the preparations! ;)


i don't dare to suggest her the person i hired for my wedding cos i have no idea of his performance just yet..so tak berani cakap banyak2.tunggu dan lihat ja la baru boleh komen.

i love the fact that at Hassan wedding, u get to pour your own ideas too...bukan cam sesetangah planner, asyik cakap faham apa yang kita nak tapi sebenarnya the have no idea at all. a few wedding planners ni ramai jenis sensitif tak bertempat. cakap professional, tapi sebenarnya emotional. tu yang tak syok.mangsa keadaan??? hmm...i kah?? hahahha..oops!

if u pay them good, 8K and above they'll give u what u want. but if lower than that, nasib la...lagi teruk dari butik2 pengantin biasa kita masuk tu.tu yang i alami la...cos my budget is very low. sedeh! cos a wedding is very sacred to many of us kan..kita nak yang terbaik, tercantik, terindah..but they treat it as a business only. tercantik, terbaik, terindah for me doesn't mean yang termahal. if they are truly professional, they will try to make you wedding as beautiful as they could for u based on your budget,kan? tapi bukan senang nak dapat semua ni...u have to do a lot of research and surveys.kena rajin skit.heheh

do hire somebody u think u could relly get along with. don't listen to others but do your own surveys just to be safe.=) as for Hassan wedding. u can check him out at the link given but the best way is to go and meet the person personally to see his current or latest designs.kat blog ni kadang2 jarang update kan!


for your information, i'm not hiring him for any of my wedding event. but i'm just sharing this for those who is still looking for a wedding planner around penang area.listening to a few comments from my friends, i think Hassan ni boleh deliver a good result base on your budget, insyaAllah...

Wedding Cake Dilemma

i'm in blogging mood today but i have no idea what to write ( as always ) maybe i should write something that has been on my mind for a few days since..recently.it's about the wedding cake. actually, i have never cared much whether i have a wedding cake to cut or not.honest! i just want to get married and take lots of pictures on that day...that's it! see, how simple my wedding idea has always been?? ;p..but, the cake didn't appear in the picture up until i got to know i'm recieving a free wedding cake by my pelaming maker/ dress maker...

so Alhamdulillah at least no need to spend for the cake kan...BUT, alamak..tetiba i'm having the urge inside of me...wanting to have a cute (ok silap) a beautiful cake to cut during the cam whoring session! hukhukhuk...the dilemma is that, i'm not sure how my sponsored cake will look like.if, i'm getting a fondant cake ok la kot...but if i'm getting a normal butter cream cake??? tak mau boleh tak?? i'm sorry, if u think i'm not being bersyukur or being fussy..but i think i want to order a wedding cake that is according to my liking...but i'm too afraid to ask the person the design of the cake that he's giving..macam takot sangat dia fikir i demanding nanti.cemana ha? that day i respectfully asked him the sketch of my pelamin, but he was a bit offended rasanya when he asked me back " u tak trust i ka? " i mean, i don't want any drama.and i'm the type of person who doesn't know how to stand up for myself sometimes. :( benda simple pun i takot nak tanya...haihhhh~

should i or should not i proceed with ordering my dream cake? cos i have already asked the cake vendor to qoute me a price for a 2 or 3 stacked cake that looks something like this.

centerpiece for guest tables on nikah day

at first i wanted to have flowers arrangement as centerpieces..all of the ideas that i gathered from wedding blogs and sites seem to change as for now on since i have found a simpler way to reduce my time of doing the flower arrangement. i went back to home sweet home last week and managed to find time to do some wedding stuffs hunting. the centepiece or rather a candle holder that i bought looks appealing to me. i love the shape and everything..but the most important thing the price suits my budget.i bought 10 pieces of the candle holder cos i'm only be having 1 canopy for my nikah day.so all 10 pieces will be on the guest tables. As for the main table, we will figure somethng out.cos my sister is going to handle that part.so here is the so-called centerpieces..heheheh. biasa ja tau! ;)

i bought it because i love the dangling crystal and the love shape handle as well as the love shape dangling..sorry tak tau nak pangil apa benda yg goyang2 tu..heee. showed that to my sister kak dilla, she suggested that we improvise this candle holder by putting a long candle yg boleh beli kat Ikea tu. and we will wrap the candle with lace and stick it to this candle holder...voilaaa! a centerpeice!! heheh ok kan?? i love my sis punya idea..she is a very detail person. she sees things very creatively.unlike me. all i could think of was just to put a pink rounded candle ja.

okay tak benda ni?? hopefully jangan ilang dah la balik from masjid pas nikah tu..hihihi...so, that's about it! my vey humble centerpieces to be.kawan2 yg mai hari nikah nanti jangan la u guys tekejut lak..maybe dalam blog it looks great but in reality biasa ja pun...seriously biasa ja ok! =)

HIV test - entry hampir basi

fiance and i did the test together cos we had the intention to do wedding stuffs hunting later. little that we knew, the HIV test took us almost 3 hours to complete.why?? cos we went to the wrong place which is the hospital lama Alor Star which turned into a clinic. i didn't know anything about it since i trusted my fiance would know best...the clinic was like a centralized clinic where all kind of illnesses are first consulted there..i mean kat situ la nak check sakit jantung, kat situ la nak check darah tinggi, kat situ la nak check kencing manis, ect and kat situ la nak buat HIV Test!! the same doctor pulak tu...

penat tunggu turn. i even lost my temper because i knew we way were behind schedule..but the most horrible thing for us was that the treatment given to us as if we were stupid! the staffs were sarcastic and the people at the counter were very rude.i don't want to elaborate cos it was 2 weeks ago..so it's in the past.

for me, i blame it to ourseleves cos the two of us were clueless about the places that we could go to do the test. since i'm not familiar with Kedah in general so i just followed what fiance had planned. he, on the other hand, didn't know much about it and we went there cos it was suggested by his friend..hmm, i still remember we had to wait for 103 people to finish their turns before we could go and get the freaking signature from the doctor!! goshhh...i was hungry and grumpy all at the same, that explained the long face.

the test took us less than 5 minutes but to get the doctor signature was a challenge...lama gila lah..menyesal buat kat situ.tapi dah selamat pun semuanya..just wanted to blog about it..ehehe

i think they should improve their system.they should separate the HIV Test from those who come to get treatments of their illnesses.it was totally a waste of time and energy.and i could see that they need more doctors to shorten the waiting time..tapi Malaysia ni memang kekurangan doctor kan? kesia la tengok doctor2 ni...when i was finally in the room, the doctor asked "ramai lagi ka kat luaq tu?" i said "raaaamai lagi!" and she was frustrated to hear that of course.kesian jugak.

our HIV test was done at the 2nd floor of the building the we had to go down to get the number, and after we got the number we had to go to another counter to get the stamping/cop apa tah then we had to que again at another section of the building to get the number to see the doctor! huhhhh...penat tau. 1 bangunan pusing abeh la~

earlier, on our way to the clinic fiance said to me if the result is positive, he would still marry me...awwww... he's such a sweetie.but i said to him on our way back from the clinic i would marry him too...sah2 la dah tahu result dia negative baru i cakap...tak baik kan!

interview with pejabat agama

it's done! i can safely sa that i'm now waiting for my big day only...Alhamdulillah. for those who is still puzzled about interview thingy..it's only compulsory for certain states in Malaysia and penang is included. the insterview was not like what i imagined it would be. i woke up early morning of yersterday and headed to Pejabat Agama Daerah Seberang Perai Tengah to submit my documents and go through the interview before they could issue me the Surat Kebenaran Nikah. what are the Questions?? alahai...not worth my time studying..seriously, the ustat who interviewed me did the interview in a v-e-r-y- r-e-l-a-x condition! this is the "interview" or rather a conversation between us.hehhhh~

ustat: hah...dah sedia ka nak kawen ni?
me: hehe..insyaAllah
ustat: betul sedia ni?
me: insyaAllah ustat
ustat: bukan mudah nak kawen ni..bukan main2. betul sedia?
me: ya la.tak berani kata 100% sedia..tapi insyaAllah dah la.
ustat: muda lagi nak kawen ni!
me: ehh, ustat saya tak muda dah...dah 27 tahun ( dalam hati agak hangat..awat dia ni tak tanya soalan pun?)
ustat: lahh ya ka...ni kalau suami kata duduk, awak duduk dak?
me: (puzzled) er..duduk!

me: berdiri!

selamber kan!! aduh..i spent a few minutes revising the topics that the pejabat agama list down but non of it were asked!(of cos kena revise okay..i ni darah gemuruh..cewah) just a very basic thing...but, apa pun syukur Alhandulillah...i can get married la pasni kan..the kebenaran nikah will be ready next week. and from there my family will take it and deal with the tok kadi. =)

okay, that day i promised to share the questions list and so here are the questions. harap nampak la ok..sorry i tak type.

there are 24 questions all together but 2 out of the 24 were asked to me..heheh~

hmm, quick update! i think so far all the major stuffs have all been settled and i am now at a stage of counting down for the big day. i want to spend this 2 months looking after myself pulak kot...i have to take care of my health and i have to get rid all of these stress that i'm having and just focus! kenapa stress? well, i'm not stressed about my wedding much, seriously! i'm stressed of my work basically. ok, dah tukar tajuk lak ni..okay la, i will stop here and write more tomorrow, insyaAllah! bye~

huishh...seminggu tak jengok blog ni! as always, i have no better reasons but i blame my work loads aci kan? =)

while busy with teaching and million other stuffs, on top of that i have to settle a lot of things regarding the wedding since it's almost around the corner.Mashaallah..cepat sungguh masa berlalu i still wish i could have more time to prepare.nevertheless, a few important things have finally settled which is THE NIKAH DOCUMENTS! phew...now all that left is to submit them to the pejabat agama back in penang which is next week. on top of that i'm currently preparing myself for the INTERVIEW! yep...Penang pengantin wajib interview..tak lulus tak leh kawen depa kata...ehehhe. i'll share the questions that the pejabat agama attached in my forms later because i just realized that the questions are ralatively different according to daerah2 in penang.still, the questions are basic things that we as a Muslim should know of..nanti la i share. ;)

though, i said they are basic, tapi hatiku tetap nervous ok.hehe..ya la the last time i went on an interview was the interview untuk sahkan jawatan ja..ni interview untuk sahkan i boleh menikah ka dak...penting tuh! and i was so jealous that fiance is not going through it since he's not a penangites!! dia, isi borang and hantar ja..selesai! at first, i thought nak kawen kena sama2 interview..turned out to be i'm the only person yang kena interview.hihi.. on a lighter note, takkan la ustaz pejabat agama tu nak interogate i teruk2 kan? so keep a positive mind ja la..

WEDDING CARD! yeahhh...success!! berjaya di tempah dengan happy. i mean, fiance and i had the time to sit and select the one card that suit our need and budget. we went to Alor Star and glad that we found so many choices there compared to my place back in seberang perai. i was touched with my FFIL effort when he took the time to write us a qoute to be include in our wedding card. usually when we were to order the wedding card, we would just choose the Hadith strips that the card vendors prepared kan? i decided to replace the Hadith strip with the qoute written by FFIL. *happy* cos seriously, i felt that the saying couldn't be more perfect...suit us and fit us like a glove...cewah! hope he's happy when he found out.

so today, fiance will go to do the proof read ( wahh macam buat tesis MA lak) and tengok the master copy...i hate the fact that i can't do that on my own cos i admit i could be a bit of a control freak sometimes. i just dun want any mistake on the card. that's all...so i gave fiance a simple checklist for him to do while doing the proof read tu...i specifically told him, to follow my very simple checklist! so darling, no mistake ok. ;p

HIV test?? ohh, DONE!! but full of drama..also, i write about it later..just to share my not so good experience!

hmm...a lot of things have been settled but a whloe lot of other things that need to be settle~ i admit i'm actually on the verge of having melt down and such! but, apa2 pun...again I JUST WANT TO BE HAPPY!!

and I'M FAT!! makkkk....sy sungguh stressed memikirkan possibilities baju tersebut won't fit~ :'( skang ni i rasa takmau makan apa2 dah..dah cukup! posa 4 hari..minum air ja dah...hukhukhuk...

i know i kinda delaying a lot of things nowadays cos of my limited time..but i cancelled my fitting twice already but to cancel it again won't be that nice kan..malu la i nak nanti. just now i recieved an alarming msg saying that IT'S FITTING TIME....aduh!! baik lah...if i dun do it this weekend ntah bila lagi pun tak tau. gosh, i pray for the baju to fit me all nicely * amin*

on another note, fiance's family is coming to discuss about wedding stuffs..and hantar duit hantaran semua...my concern is that, should i be there as well when they come? i kena balik kampung jugak kah?? if dun, would it be too snorty or something? cos seriously my relationship with future in laws are not as tight as other bride to be...no...no..no..bukan kitorang tak baik ka apa ka..it's actually a rule implimented by my family on me not to expose myself to the future family in law too much.

my family is kinda strict on adab2 bertunang and bergaul ni so i can't do anything with that but to obey..so far i have only met my FFIL 3 times..that's it tu pun "undersupervision" of my family...cewahhh...meaning...kita jupa as family! the rest kena tunggu kawen baru la nak kenal2 secara mendalam ka apa ka mak i kata ikot suka..for the time being jangan harap la i nak pi jalan2 sorang2 pi umah FFIL saja2...hmm...sabaaarrr

anyway i'm scared the dress won't fit me!! gila la...i always think negative kan?? ;(


p.s. the sweetest thing about having a loving fiance like mine is that never a single word uttered from him is about my imperfections...Alhamdulillah

can't believe that the wedding is approaching real fast & so many things to do nowadays...tomorrow insyaAllah, we're going to survey and most probably tempah terus kot.the thing with me & fiance is that we're both are so stuck with our works that we don't have time to actually go out and do our wedding prearation together.if ever we have the chance and TIME to do so only then we would buy all the stuffs that we need all in one day or just buy separately...it's a really tiring job macam ni and seriously sometimes i get so irritated and mula nak marah2 padahal this is the situation that we have to deal with..tak dak cara lain dah. work is so crazy and it's gonna be even more hectic this coming semester for myself...so sapa kata keja lecturer ni keja senang??? think again.. hari2 i told him i wanted to quit.. ;(

anyway, nak cita tentang wedding card...our repective families have asked us about the card and really are pusing us to quickly settle this part. i did survey a few shops( 2 shops) in penang, around my area which is in Seberang Jaya...aduh..so pathetic! i mean kesian gila i tegok designs.then it got me thinking, patut la everytime my mak recieved a wedding invitation card i could see the patern that these people seemed to do almost the same design..tiap2 bulan kad kawen sampai umah semua macam sama ja..rupanya memang people around my hometown tu tempah kat kedai yang sama ja..kedai tu pulak offers design2 yang...erkk...tak baik kutuk...my point is...we need a new shop please..sesapa nak buka kedai kad kawen dialu2kan..kesian tau orang2 kampung i.

i even had a plan tu go back to KL onece again to tempah kat sana jugak but nanti mesti orang kata i ni agung2 KL stuffs pulak...but what to do? i memang cerewek sikt..(banyak) i require more choices, that's all.

yesterday, my sis datang perlis and lepak at my house here and she flipped through magazines. majalah pengantin tu and she found some nice designs of wedding card. she suggested that i go and check them out.i never notice that redcard.com tu ada branch kat jitra.which is about 15mins drive from arau.nampak sangat la i ni tak teliti...

so tomorrow, fiance & i are going there after he completed his KURSUS KAWEN!! yes, dia baru nak kursus. BUSY kan? huuu~

harap sangat2 i will find a card that i could "agree" with.since my wedding is small wedding..we won't order up to 500 cards pun..not even 400kecik ja my wedding =)when my friends found out the number of expected guests they were like " woi, western sungguh!!" but i would kindly reply with " otak hang western...ingat banyak duit aku nak buat makan 1000 orang???" well, just to shut them up... ;p

if i could't find what i'm looking for at redcard.com mana lagi nak cari kat Alor Star ye? =)

official dress maker

with 3 months and counting, perhaps it's time to talk about my nikah outfit first kot. to be honest, i was at first being worried sick thinking about whom to do my dress.i'm sure many of the b2b pun selalu dilemma mana nak hantar kan! especially brides to be outside KL...tengok KL areas b2b, kita rasa how lucky they are to be able to send their kain to professionals.

being in penang, and never knew any good dress maker was a challenge at first.. i was asking around and finally was introduced to Raymond Tan from Ray La Mode. it turned out to be this Ray guy has a branch boutique near my hometown... cari punya cari rupanya depan mata ja pun..hihi...my wedding planner talked me into sending my kain nikah to him actually. and before i made up my mind to send the kain i did talk to my friend and see his collections at the boutique...okay la i guess..and i can see that he is specialized in dressess. banyak sangat dress dia buat. my friend pun gave him a good review so i sent my kain that i bought at Jakel hari tu.

besides, many of his cutomers are malay and brides to be.when i was there nak ukur baju, i saw a lot of bags filled with kain nikah for him to sew at the back of his boutique.he said semua baju nikah yang hujung tahun punya.

we sent our kain nikah baru ja lagi...which was last month..memang nervous cos seing other b2b yang nak kawen ujung tahun ni pun baju nikah dah siap cuma nak pakai ja.but syukur, he still accepted our kain...phew!

design for nikah outfit is going to be kurung modern since my body tak sesuai kebaya..hihi..paham2 la..pinggang pun tak dak... ;p anyway, to my surprise when ray did the unofficial sketches he suggested something like this

on the left tu baju melayu my fiance, i specifically told him no sulam-sulaman for him..cos i'm not a fan..i want it to be just a plain baju melayu.

next, is a rough sketch of my nikah outfit...biasa ja kan?? =) hopefully i will be able to show the final product..heheh..nervous jugak..

now, all that left is to be patiently waiting for the dress to complete. our fitting will be in early september. Ya Allah, makbulkanlah impian hambaMu ini untuk kuruskan badan...Amin Yaa Rabbal 'Alamin....
